Prepare for an exhilarating offshore challenge as you embark on a direct, non-stop passage from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida. This approximately 500-nautical-mile voyage is designed to immerse you fully in the rhythms and demands of true ocean sailing as you navigate between the mainland and the north-bound Gulf Stream. Your adventure begins with arrival at the boat on February 25 or February 26, 2028. After boat familiarization, safety review, and provisioning, we depart Myrtle Beach on February 27 and sail non-stop toward South Florida. Expected arrival in Biscayne Bay is March 3 or March 4, with departure from the boat on March 5. As a valued working crew member, you are an essential part of the vessel's operation every step of the way. You will actively engage in all facets of the journey, including adhering to a proper watch schedule, steering and helming, sail trimming, navigation, weather monitoring, and logbook recording. Daily life aboard also includes cooking and cleaning, ensuring the smooth operation of the sailboat. Whether you are a beginner seeking a comprehensive introduction to offshore life or an advanced sailor aiming to refine your capabilities, this passage offers a robust learning environment. For those pursuing formal certification, if you meet the qualifications, you may add ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising ($800 per person) to your passage.
